The Ides of March

It wasn't a great day for Julius Caesar was it? Maybe if there was a letter "a" in the "Ides" it would be a better rallying call for the creative amongst us. Geddit? Speaking of creative thinking, a random chat in Brewer's Decorating Centre on Coopies Lane in Morpeth led to a member of their staff thinking of all the waste in partly used tester pots. Artists use paint don't they? Tester pots are paint too, are they not? What if people donated their leftover tester pots at Brewers and we found a use for them in our artwork? 

Well Brewers were well up for it, and quickly got things set up. We may have created a monster. They have posters up already and the pots are coming in. We need to collect the donations monthly, they cannot be sold on, and have to be disposed of under COSHH guidelines for hazardous waste. 

Its a win for their environmental and community policies and its a win for us. We can also see what the current trends are, or are not, for home decorating. You'll love it. The paint goes on easily. You just have to find where it works best in your masterpieces.
